Jan Felix Jans Journey 2017

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place.  I have been diagnosed with MDS (Myelodysplastic syndrome) which is a bone marrow disorder in which the bone marrow does not produce enough healthy blood cells.  I will be having 7 days of chemo shots and then 21 days without shots.  We will be repeating this three or four times until I go into remission, then we will have either a bone marrow or stem cell transplant.  My Oncologist has me set up with a Doctor at UCSF and he will be setting up an appointment with me in the next three weeks to discuss options.  We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.
