We wanted to set this site up for all of our friends and family to hear my Dad's story and stay updated on his progress.

On Tuesday, Jan 21st, 2020.....we found out that my father Jack Griffin was diagnosed with Leukemia.  The exact diagnosis is Acute Myeloid Leukemia or AML https://www.cancer.org/cancer/acute-myeloid-leukemia/about/what-is-aml.html .  (https://www.cancer.org/cancer/acute-myeloid-leukemia/about/what-is-aml.html . )  He spent the first few days at Legacy Salmon Creek and was transferred to Kaiser Sunnyside Hosptial on Thursday, Jan 23rd.  He will need to stay at the hospital for 30 days once treatment start.  His treatment will consist of mainly Chemo and possibly immunotherapy or bone marrow transplant.  The chemo treatment is for a solid 24/7 and then the next 3 weeks recovering.  It's aggressive but necessary so he can get better.  He is in excellent health otherwise and we believe this will benefit him greatly in his recovery.  Visitors are welcome as long as they have had flu shots and are completely symptom free of any illness.  Masks will also be required.  Since some days will be better than others, please check in here before coming to visit.    We all very much appreciate the support the family and my parents have received so far and can feel your prayers at work in him.

We will update this site as often as we can through his treatment.
