First post: Sep 12, 2016 Latest post: Nov 5, 2016
Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in ONE place there will be NO detailed posts to facebook about this. I ask that if you have questions please feel free to ask on here and I will get back to you as soon as I am able.  We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

So a little back round info for those who don't know.  Isabelle  had a prenatal diagnosis for downs syndrome and complete AV canal defect (congenital heart disease).  Basically she has one valve in her heart where there should be 2. This also made us a high risk pregnancy and we couldn't go full term we had to deliver at least a week early, but pregnancy  went well no complications.  Isabelle was born on May 18th 2016 crying as soon as she entered the world. (music to my ears) She had to stay in the level 2 nursery  where she concentrated on learning to eat and grow.  Because of her heart condition she is a little weaker then normal so it can take her a little longer to do some things. Belle did amazing though and we were only there for 10 days. She went home on a low liter flow of oxygen which only lasted for about a month before she was able to be taken off it. She is doing well and growing fast! She is working on head control, smiling,  rolling and scooting all over the place! She loves to play with her toys/teething rings and talk to herself when she looks in the mirror. The docs say she is doing  wonderfully.
On Sept. 19th Belle will be having her open heart surgery to make her one valve into two. They said they will use some of the sac around her heart to help create the valves inside her heart. Once this is done and the blood is flowing correctly she should have more energy. After her surgery she will NOT be allowed visitors. This is to maximize her healing process. I will try to keep the updates coming best I can and maybe sneak some pics in there too :-) .
So now I ask you all to keep us in your prayers as our little princess heads off to surgery.
