Thank you for checking on Pastor Howard. On Tuesday, January 3rd Howard was experiencing pain in his back and chest that required emergency medical attention. After testing at Palos Hospital, he was taken to Loyola Hospital to repair a torn aorta. The family gathered thru the night and prayed as he underwent the 8 hour emergency surgery. Praise the Lord the surgery was successful and went well. As Howard walks through the recuperation process we so appreciate your prayers. We have set up this site so we the family can stay connected with you throughout this process. Due to the surgery and intense recovery Howard will be walking thru he will not be able to communicate with you personally. However please feel free to share personalized messages for Howard and his family on this Caring Bridge page. We will make sure he receives them in a timely manner. The doctors have instructed us that it is crucial Howard rests and not have visitors at this time. We will continue to update this page on his progress.
