Where do we start? Howie was having major stomach pains in September that was eventually diagnosed as ulcers, was treated as so without much relief for the pain. After a CT scan in late November, the doctor called to tell him that he has a large tumor growing on his pancreas and a number of spots on his liver. He had a biopsy done and was diagnosed with Stage IV pancreatic cancer that had metastasized to his liver. After a number of different doctor visits, he decided on a chemo regimen every two weeks at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester to try to slow the tumor growth.
Since then, there has been an incredible outpouring of love, support, prayers, and positive encouragement. We can't thank you all enough for all you have done! So many people have sent cards and I would like to personally thank them; if it's ok to contact by phone or if you prefer texts, please message if you would!
