Karlene was admitted to Palomar Hospital on a Sunday with stage four cancer. It started last year with a Melanoma cancer on her shoulder that was cut out and they thought they got it all. She started having pain in her left leg about six weeks ago then she started spitting up some traces of blood on Friday. She went to the doctor multiple times over the last six weeks but nothing pointed to the cancer until we saw a blood test come back with a elevated white blood cell count. She was admitted to the hospital with very low blood pressure and some internal bleeding that caused her Kidneys to shut down. She is currently on dialysis and heavy antibiotics to try and control a possible infection.
