Dear Friends, 


Welcome to our CaringBridge website.   We are using it to share any updates about George, and to make it easier for people to coordinate visits.


As many of you know, on June 13th the Tuscon police conducted a welfare check at George's home, after we were unable to reach him the previous day.  The police and paramedics brought George to the emergency room, and he was admitted to the hospital in very serious condition.


He was in the hospital for 10 days!


At first, he went to the Skilled Nursing Facility at Brookdale Santa Catalina, but their long-term care (assisted living) doesn't accept Arizona long-term medicaid funding.


SO with the help of all you many angels, we found the HandMaker facility at 2221 N Rosemont Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85712.  He's in room 128-B now, in the Skilled Nursing Facility, and will be moving to the Assisted Living part of HandMaker in the next month or so.


The phone number in his room is 520-750-7199.  The nurse's station is 520-209-2483.  You can call them to check if George will be in his room, or if he's at a meal, or doing physical therapy.
