Daryl Gambrell Hello, My Name is Cancer

Welcome to our CaringBridge website.  As many of you have heard, Daryl was recently diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma, the most common but aggressive type of non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.  Things are moving very quickly for us with doctor appointments, various tests and surgeries before chemo can be administered.  We spent last weekend in New Orleans where he is from with friends and family at an event we have been fortunate to attend for the past five years,  Running of the Bulls.  He knew in his heart that his diagnosis was not going to be good so he wanted to live it up one last weekend in a city that is close to his heart. He is an amazing husband and father, wonderful chef, owned his own restaurant in Jackson Mississippi many years ago and today continues to cook for our family and friends while also running a small catering business, Gourmet Connection.   We are blessed by the outpouring of love and support that has been shown by many. Daryl, myself (Johnette), Sydney, Taylor, Rhett, Bryce and Reid appreciate each and everyone of you who have reached out and offered your support and prayers.  

More than anything, right now, our family needs your prayers.  In an effort to keep everyone informed of Daryl's condition, we are using this page to keep family and friends updated in one place.
