Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.Helen is suffering complications from a pulmonary embolism (blood clot to the lungs).  She was taken off the cruise ship in Gravdal, Norway (while on the cruise up the Norwegian coast).Three transfers later she ended up in Tromso, Norway at the University Hospital on June 29th.  By the time she arrived she was in critical condition and remained unresponsive until July 4th or 5th. She was very critical on and off until July 10th when things started to turn for the better. 


July 19 - Helen is still in ICU. It has been quite the roller coaster ride. She is still on a ventilator and 24/7 dialysis. Liver function continues to be at crucial levels.
