Needless to say, cancer is something we all hope to avoid. But, it’s now part of my reality and I’m ready to fight, even if I am nervous about it all.
At the end of October I was diagnosed with breast cancer with positive in the nodes too. Subsequent tests show it is centralized to the left side. Genetics also say I’m normal.....well, normal as I can be. :)
With my prognosis, I am having a bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction followed by chemo and radiation. Reconstruction may change tune depending on the treatments and how my body reacts.
For now, staying as upbeat as I can. Mom is staying to help and she’ll get the cranky side.
