Our beautiful daughter, Lauren suffered a stroke on December 6, 2018. She had subsequent brain swelling and a pulmonary embolism to add to the mix. Those were very difficult days, but they are behind us and we don’t look back, only forward. Lauren has a lot hard work ahead. She’s a strong 21 year old with Big Goals. We are relentless in our support and encouragement as we walk this journey to rehabilitation with her. Lauren’s faith in God is resolute, powerful and palpable when you are near her. She has shown us fierce strength and determination already. Laurens love of movement, exercise and challenge have come through with watching her fight through fatigue to perform her therapy. We are eagerly awaiting discharge from ICU... this is a wonderful place.. but as we face the 11th day... we are all going stir crazy. We will keep this site posted as she looks towards a move to Mary Free Bed within the next few days. And then we will continue to post her accomplishments, which I have a very strong feeling she will amaze all of us. Thank you for your prayers, words of encouragement, and support We are humbled and grateful Please continue to keep us in your prayers. 💕
