This story is about our Hailey. She came into this world tiny, feisty and full of surprises (she was a surprise as she was supposed to be a boy) and she has not stopped since. She is still tiny, still feisty, full of spunk and life, and has become a fiercely independent, strong-willed, and a determined young woman. She is a 4'10 nursing student at Carolinas College of Health Sciences and she also works at Carolinas Medical Center-Main in the Emergency Department. She loves animals, is an animal rescuer and advocate, and LOVES her rescue Newfie mix Jax.
She has a family of parents, a step-dad, grand parents, and a brother that love her to the moon and back, along with the love of her life Taylor, and his parents and extended family.
Hailey loves NASCAR's Chase Elliot, loves to work out and eat healthy, loves to shop, and one day she'll make a fabulous trauma nurse. Hailey is also a devout Christian, puts all faith in the Lord, and KNOWS without a doubt He will deliver her through this storm.
On May 25, Hailey was diagnosed with Stage 2B Nodular Sclerosing Classic Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She just began the ABVD chemotherapy on July 1. She is truly an inspiration to everyone that knows her. She is deeply loved.
The Bible scripture we lean on is Isaiah 40:31 - But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not grow faint.
