Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Greyson was born on November 21st, 2012 at Froedert/Children's Hospital in Milwaukee.  At my 20 week ultrasound he was diagnosed with some major congential heart defects.  He was monitored very frequently while intra-uterine and we were prepared when I was induced.  Greyson was born with the following conditions; Heterotaxy, double outlet right ventricle, subaortic ventricular septal defect, pulmonary atresia, atrial sitis inversus, bilateral SVC's IVC  to leftward RA, pulmonary veins to rightward LA.

At 7 days old he underwent his first open heart surgery, an abdomen surgery at 1 month, and then at 5 months we underwent his 2nd open heart surgery.   Surgeries were successful with minor setbacks.  Then at 10 months he endured his first episode of major heart failure and thanks to a lot of meds and time he bounced back.

On January 27th we brought him to the ER and the next day we were transferred to Childrens Hospital in major heart failure.  After a lot of tests the past week it has been determined that Greyson's heart is not able to be repaired and he will need a transplant.  We have completed the transplant evaulation process and Greyson was added to the National Transplant Registry on February 3rd, 2017.
