On Labor Day, Gordan Paul was enjoying a beautiful day on the trails when he was involved in a UTV accident. The UTV left the road and appears to have overturned numerous times before coming to a halt.  Unfortunately GP was ejected from the vehicle. GP was unresponsive but breathing when first responders arrived. He was stabilized at the scene, intubated and paralyzed for transport via med flight to UW Madison Hospital.

When GP arrived in the emergency room, he had a CT scan and x-rays to identify injuries.  Since GP was unable to talk there was no real way to know what his injuries were.  The CT showed that GP had multiple areas of bleeding on the brain, multiple rib fractures, lung contusions (bruising of the lungs), small fracture in his right humorous (arm), and significant injury to the ligaments in his neck. The extend of his brain injury is unknown. He remained stable in the ER and was transferred to the Trauma Life Center (TLC) intensive care unit.
