Just wanted to take this early morning Friday to say thank you to all my family n friends-near n far for taking the time out of your own lives to send thoughts, prayers n blessings to my mother, Gloria, to me n to the rest of my family-you will never know what that truly means, but I promise you it's from the bottom of my heart!
Update...as you know mom collapsed, n needed to be resuscitated at home on Wednesday afternoon, that phone call at work was devastating to say the least-and though moms been having some health issues the past year, you can never prepare yourself for that call-her strong beating heart had stopped, and they frantically did what they needed to do to keep it beating-to keep her alive!
Immediate steps were taken, a hypothermic protocol was started...Inducing mild therapeutic hypothermia in selected patients surviving out-of-hospital sudden cardiac arrest to significantly improve rates of long-term neurologically intact survival! Last night the re-warming was started n it's usual time frame is about 12 hours-so this morning before work I will stop in n remind mom that we are all here n praying for her recovery!
