Hi I'm Lisa, Ginny's 2nd daughter.  Mom is just starting her battle against Lymphoma and I wanted to keep everyone updated on her condition.  And to encourage you to send encouragement to Mom via snail mail or through this website.   If you want to use snail mail and need Mom's address please leave a note here and I'll message you.

My sister Linda, Mom's 3rd daughter, is Mom's caregiver.  Acting as the liaison between all the doctors, Mom and the rest of the world.  I'm hoping this website can reduce her load somewhat.  We appreciate all prayers for Mom, Linda and the physicians and staffs.

Ginny's status as of 7/9/2017
Mom had a bone marrow biopsy last Wednesday and echo cardiogram Thursday.  Tomorrow Mom has her first PET CT scans done.  Then Thursday she meets with the oncologist for all the test results.    Till then..... we wish all of you love hugs & blessings.

Mom's status on 7/17/17
Mom's been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.  Mom is trying to take in as much nutrition as she can before chemo starts next Tuesday 7/19.   She has been having difficulties swallowing since the first of the year but it became next to impossible since the biopsies.  Her Oncologist Dr Jingdong Su in Tyler, prescribed some swish & swallow medicine to help deaden her throat to help her eat.  She is currently on liquids 5-6 times per day, taking some broth, fruit & veggie juices and protein drinks.  A real 5+ course meal, only in very small portions.  Everything else gets caught in her throat and chokes her.  Of course Linda is carefully watching the sugars of everything as Mom is diabetic.
