After years of prostate cancer laying low, it has returned metastasized to the bones and brain. Dad has completed 2 weeks of radiation while on an immunotherapy chemo pill. He was doing well but took a turn for the worst on Thursday, 01/23/20 then being hospitalized on Friday, 01/24/20.
Saturday my husband and I along with my siblings, sister-in-law and nephew all congregated in Dad's hospital room sharing lots of stories and chocolate malts. Then Sunday Dad became extremely tired but did come home.
Today Dad has begun his final journey with in home hospice with the Circle of Life. It has been an emotional rollercoaster of a day watching the Dad you have loved and looked up to all of your life become so frail. Unfortunately, this process has become all too familiar.
We know his body and spirit are transitioning.to join Mary in His kingdom. We pray that we may provide him peace and that we find the strength to get us through.this.
