Frank/Sully has been fighting cancer in his stomach and esophagus.  He has spent a few months in chemo and radiation. On December 9th he went into surgery to remove the rest of the cancer.  The doctors feel as if the chemo and radiation did its job and that they were able to get the rest in the surgery.  The surgery was close to 7 hours and some of his esophagus and stomach were removed.   This journal begins on December 12th and he is still in the ICU at Brigham and Womens Hospital.  He is expected to be in the ICU for at least a few more days and then be in a regular room in the hospital for at least a week after that.  They are evaluating him day by day and we will have more answers as time moves on.  Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he goes through this process.
