Frank Murphy

Thank you for visiting.  As most of you know, my brother, Frank Murphy had a stroke on Saturday, September 9th.  He was rushed to Presence St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet, Il. Where he underwent 2 brain surgeries in 2 days.  The Neuro Surgeons saves his life and we are so grateful for their excellent care.  Frank was transferred to the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab in Dowtown Chicago last Tuesday.  This is One of the top facilities   In the country.  As of now, Frank had a tracheotomy done to help with secretions and he has a feeding tube.  These things can be reversed as he heals.  Frank is tough and is a fighter.  His road to recovery has just begun and will be a long one.  We pray he will get stronger every day.  Vera has been amazing through all this and has been his constant companion and continues to be with him as much as she can.   


The purpose of this site is to keep everyone posted on his progress and start a calendar where if anyone is able to take a shift to visit Frank for an hour or two at a time that would be awesome.  I am also asking that in lieu on meals for Vera we donate money or Visa cards to help with her daily expenses. Parking alone at the hospital is Expensive and adds up.  Thank you for all your support and prayers.
