What is Hodgkin disease?

Hodgkin disease (Hodgkin lymphoma) is a type of lymphoma, a cancer that starts in white blood cells called lymphocytes. Lymphocytes are part of the body’s immune system.

Frankie's lymphoma has been found in his neck, chest and underarm pits. After scans and a bone marrow biopsy, last week, the oncologist has concluded this is stage 2. This means that two or more lymph nodes were found in areas above the diaphragm This is good news! No organ involvement and a successful cure rate. Just to keep everyone on their toes, while Frankie was in his biopsy, the surgeon decided that was also a good time to put in a port for chemo.
