Finn and Grace Annis Finn & Grace -Wondertwins

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. We were born early at 32 weeks gestation, despite Mommy (Allison) and Daddy (James) working so hard to keep us safe inside. Mommy stopped working at 26 weeks and nearly went coocoo bonkers NOT doing stuff on purpose, while Daddy worked round the clock, making up for it.


Mommy's water broke in the wee hours of 11/10 and we were born close to 11 am on 11/11/18 via c- section.  👶👶Finn 4#11oz, Grace 3#15oz, both 17.5" short😉


Sheboygan Memorial Hospital Level 2 NICU has been supporting us with very skilled RNs and Neonatologists and lots of fancy equipment. We had CPap, O2 intervention, TPN IV nutrition, UV lights, and donor breastmilk. Mommy has been rapidly taking over with providing her own breastmilk for tube feedings. Grandma Rachel Annis and Ellen Cheney took care of our brothers and sisters (James Jr, Chace, Jack, Emma, Lila) so Daddy could care for Mommy during her recovery.


Mommy came home without us on 11/15. She and Daddy are sad that we couldn't join but feel very confident that we are getting the best care possible at Memorial Hospital NICU and are so very thankful it is only 4 blocks from home! Mommy gets to heal and finish getting the house ready for us.  


Please pray that we can keep growing stronger and need less support so we can be home for Christmas.🌲
