Jared Grafe is an amazing son, brother, friend, student and athlete. As an 8th grade student at McMeans Jr. HIgh in Katy, Texas, Jared was looking forward to playing football and basketball at Taylor High School in the fall. He is a hard working young man with a gentle and caring soul and friend to everyone.
Saturday, May 9th, his hopes and dreams to play football in the fall hit a tragic speed bump. While working on his family's land in Shiner, Texas, Jared suffered a terrible accident with a post-hole digger. His lower right leg sustained extensive bone and tissue damage. He was flown to Memorial Hermann Children's Hospital in the Medical Center in Houston by Lifeflight and immediately underwent the first of many surgeries to come.
Jared is the oldest of three children belonging to Jason and Kathy Grafe. As a community, our hearts go out to the Grafe family during this emotional and uncertain time. We have created this page to remind them that we will continue to embrace them with Love, Prayers and Support. Please join us in continuing to Fight for Jared - a healthy rehabilitation.
This sweet young family is going to need help financially. The medical bills are beginning to come in, expenses that may not be covered by insurance such as the Lifeflight...etc. Instead of starting a GoFund me account, friends and family are making straight donations by sending checks directly to their home address OR by sending money directly into their checking account through Zelle--this goes through your checking account directly into their checking account (please be cautious about putting in the correct information before sending through Zelle).
