I want to celebrate Eugene's life and his victories as he lived with courage, empathy and conviction to battle his life long darkness of bipolar depression.. It finally became too much to carry .
He took his life in late February 2017 and now rests in eternal peace.
RIP dear Gene. You were sweet, caring, funny, alternative and outrageous too. We could have laughed all night, sang all night, talked all night, and just been quiet. What a great connection in life to have had.
At this writing, my heart hurts at not being able to hear the phone ring and know it is you. Now my phone is "quiet" and I will never have what we shared again. We were kindred spirits through and through.
We danced on the beach, we hiking up the cliffs in Alpine, we strolled the streets of Nyack, we ate our way around town, we walked the reservoir at Oradell a million times.
