My journey started almost 12 years ago.  I was diagnosed with Stage 3 triple negative  breast cancer just before my 29th birthday in 2005,  and then again on January 13, 2017.  In 2005, I had 6 months of chemo and six and a half weeks of radiation.  In 2006, I decided to get the gene teating done, and it turned out I carried the gene for both breast and ovarian cancer.  October 2007, I had a bilateral mastectomy and started reconstruction surgery in 2008.  Almost 10 years later due to several complications and infections, I'm still doing reconstruction.  Had I known then what I know now, I NEVER would have had the bilateral done.  I do however have a beautiful little girl and a great support system through my wonderful friends, family, and friends who are family.  Love you all!
