Elyse Paul was born May 31, 2016 at 6:55 pm. In the short time she has been here she has moved right into our hearts and turned our world upside down. She has scared, and puzzled us, what started out as a baby that didn't want to eat quickly became a baby that need to be figured out. After having her blood sugar drop dangerously low in the first 48 hours of her life, we found that her strength to eat and her ability to breath at the same time were greatly compromised. This lead us to Children's Hospital, where the amazing staff of nurses, doctors, specialists, and social workers have been helping Nate, Russell and myself learn what our future will look like with Elyse as our newest family member. I will be using this Caring Bridge site to keep friends and family informed on new developments. I'm also hoping this site can help those that have been giving us support, as well as those that have offered, to coordinate those efforts. Thank you all for your on going support and love, we are in for a long journey and it is with our community at our side that Nate and I will be successful in loving and raising Elyse and Russell.
