Our mom was diagnosed with cancer in the fall of 2015. After surgery, through the next months, she felt healthy enough to go on several trips, including NY and Nevada to see grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The Silver Bay, MN trip was also full of fun and visiting loved ones. She has 5 children, 22 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren who love to spend time with her. She has been enjoying fairly decent health and energy, with being able to walk to her downtown area, see some of the piano, violin recitals of the children, and was able to put together a nice memorial, veterans service...using her nephew's beautiful poems...thank you, Skip Lindstrom!!!... Up until lately, she has not been experiencing much pain, outside of, some digestive issues, ect...but, as of this last week, there has been a noticeable decrease in energy, some muscle weakness in her arms and legs which has hindered her mobility around her home....making it necessary to use a walker...she is involved with a physical therapist, and palliative care. She lives in a lovely apartment building in Rosemount, MN, among many caring, helpful friends (think college dorm!) 😊 She has a wonderful church family at First Baptist of Rosemount. Mom has such a beautiful, peaceful, spirit-filled attitude about her whole situation, for which we continually praise the Lord for!!! As her weakness progresses, may we all be reminded of this verse..." My flesh and my heart fail: but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. " Psalms 73:26 We appreciate your prayers, as we all navigate these uncharted waters...knowing that God is with us, and our faith is grounded and established on that solid Rock...our Lord Jesus Christ!!! Love, and thank you, Karen, Linda, Bob, Gary, and Judy
