I am, undeservedly, loved!

God loves me!

My husband loves me!

My children love me!

My grandchildren love me!

My Mom loves me!

My extended family loves me!

And I cannot begin to count the number of friends who have shared their love with me!

I'm so blessed with all this love!

I need nothing else.

 I have been diagnosed with Small Cell Lung Cancer with multiple brain tumours.

I live in a small, caring, town that would be classed remote by many parts of the country and world. My home is Dryden, Canada and is nestled within 100,000 lakes and forest.

I have lived here with Jim and our two daughters (Marnie and Kelly) since 1977 when he brought me from Winnipeg and promised we would only stay for a year or two.

Kelly & Jason live here with two of my precious granddaughters, Ashley and Madison .

Marnie & Shawn live in Kamloops with four more precious granddaughters, Jamie, Haley, Vanessa and Tyra. And also our only grandson Jordan. He is the hero and protector of the family.

I enjoy my life here and spend my spare time in the summers on the dock reading a good book or gardening.

I have worked in the eye care industry for fourteen years as an Ophthalmic Technician.

The medical people in my path have been extremely blessed with talent and have looked after everything completely.

I remember my Dad creating this prayer on a copper sheet when I was about eleven. He was having some terrible struggles with his life and this prayer brought him comfort.

Jim still has it hanging over his desk!

The Serenity Prayer

God grant me the Serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
and Wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

God,

...You know what I'm thinking

...I'm never out of Your sight

...I look behind me and you're there, then up ahead and you're there, too

...You're already there waiting!
Then I said to myself, "Oh, He even sees me in the dark! At night I'm immersed in the Light!"

Oh yes, You shaped me first inside, then out;
You formed me in my mother's womb.
I thank You, Father—You're breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,

...You watched me grow from conception to birth

...The days of my life all prepared before I'd even lived one day.

...Oh, let me rise in the morning and live always with You!

Psalm 139:1-18 (The Message - paraphrased)
