Hello wonderful friends and family of Ellen and Debi!

As you may have heard, Ellen has been dealing with pain since last February and has met with many doctors and had multiple procedures (including having her gall bladder removed....I'm here to tell you that thankfully Ellen still has some gall left in her!). Last week, Ellen was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is not a good candidate for surgery or chemo. I'm sitting next to Ellen now, and I want you to know that she's fully "Ellen": warm, smiling, laughing, inquisitive and curious, spunky, mindful and in love with her community and pets.

Ellen or Debi may choose to share more in the future  but asked me to start this site to help keep you all updated in one place. They are so grateful for your support and words of hope and encouragement. (A note to those of you wanting to visit, they are going to try and coordinate with people so there is one visit a day. They want to see you, and they need to spread out the visits given all that is going on and the energy it takes to visit.)

(I met Ellen on the Appalachian Trail in 1995 and Ellen and I just figured out this morning that we have had at least eleven different adventures together since that first wonderful adventure.)
