Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
As most of you know Eileen was diagnosed with  Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma (CLL)  on October 21, 1996. This type of lymphoma  is slow growing . Eileen did not require treatment initially and has been through 2 rounds of chemo, each approximately 7 years apart. She just started round three after a rough start due to allergic reactions to the treatment. She is halfway through her first treatment cycle. The infusions  are scheduled every 4 weeks.  Approximately 2 weeks after the infusion she will  hit her nadir or low point. (We are learning too many new terms).  During that time, we are asking for some assistance with healthy meals or a visit,  Eileen has little energy and is very wobbly on her feet. And please DO NOT CONSIDER VISITING IF YOU HAVE A COLD, COUGH, ETC......
We will try to keep you updated on Eileen's progress. She has such an amazing  attitude and inner strength. And I am sure that she will post when she is feeling up to it.
