Dylan Harmon Dylan's Journey

First post: Aug 3, 2017 Latest post: Feb 8, 2018
Dylan's story began on July 25, 2017. He was exactly 24 weeks gestation when I began having contractions every 10 minutes at 2 am. Once we made it to the hospital and were checked out we discovered I was in preterm labor. I was also found to have an "incompetent" cervix.  I was admitted to the hospital and put on bed rest.  I was set up on multiple medications to prevent contractions and keep Dylan from making an early arrival.
This went on for 1 week.  Dylan was never in distress, happily turning and kicking away, despite my uterus's attempts to kick him out of his happy home.  All attempts to prevent continued contractions failed and on August 1st at the start of 25 weeks gestation Dylan Lee Harmon was born at 12:40 am, 1.8 pounds, 12 inches.
We have been blessed with such amazing friends and family who already care so much for our little boy.  We want to keep everyone updated on his progress, so please visit this site to check in on Dylan and we will try and update as often as possible.
