This is the story of Dona Mason’s journey with Mesothelioma that was written as the story unfolded live through this wonderful web site called CaringBridge. CaringBridge allows you to post journals, photos etc. to keep family and friends up to date on what’s happening in a real time manner.
Individuals can log in, read and give feedback through hearts and/or comments on specific journals. If chosen by the reader, they can also register as a follower to receive emails, when something new is posted. Activity on the site is tracked and then broken down by Authors (me), Visitors and Followers.
CaringBridge is a free service although you can contribute to its operations, which I highly endorse.
Our site was started on December 26, 2016, just six days after we received the formal diagnosis of Mesothelioma in Cincinnati. As of December 20, 2017, there have been 6,070 log-in’s by a total of 202 individuals. That is the one of the many miracles Dona and I have witnessed over the past year and everyone who participated in this journey truly shares in those miracles.
Your support really did make a difference to what I have coined as "2017 - Year of Miracles” and these “Love Letters” are not just mine, they are all of ours together!
One can never guarantee what will happen in the future, but as of right now, Dona, with the skilled surgical team of Dr. Sugarbaker in Houston, the Oncology Team of Dr. Andolina & Dr. Shehata in Cincinnati, your collective prayers and support, is cancer free!
Thanks for reading… thanks for contributing... and most of all, thanks for loving Dona as I do!
