Debbie Frein Dinners for Deb

Debbie was diagnosed with a glioblastoma brain tumor on Monday January 23rd. They have given this tumor a grade IV.  The biopsy surgery was completed by Dr. Osbun on Monday January 16th at Barnes hospital. Upon receipt of the pathology report, he presented her case to the Tumor Board for their recommendation. Their recommendation is to perform surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible (he can remove somewhere between 50-60% as this portion is in the parietal lobe, but he cannot remove the portion of the tumor that is within the corpus callosum as it is too risky). After recovering from surgery, they recommend radiation and chemotherapy to continue to attack the remaining portion of the tumor. Surgery is scheduled for Friday, February 10th.  Dr Huang is her radiation oncologist and has also recommended two clinical trials for us to consider.  In addition to this, we are researching other trials around the country to see if there are others that are experiencing greater results and whether or not Debbie would qualify.  Debbie and I have been overwhelmed with the amount of love, support and prayers that has been flowing our way. We are very appreciative.  Please keep the prayers going!!
