Elizabeth Dillingham Dillylife

Many of you; my family and friends have asked how you can help during this devastating time in Houston due to Hurricane Harvey. After much praying and searching my heart, I have decided to take the Dillingham family under my wings & raise money, gift cards & donations on their behalf. This is nothing they have asked me to do, it's my way to help heal my broken heart for our city and their family.

On Saturday night, their home took on flood water due to the Buffalo Bayou flooding, Elizabeth and Sage (3mo), left Friday to head to her parents house ahead of the storm. Taylor and Wade (3yrs) & their 2 dogs, Lexi and Levi, stayed behind at their home. By Sunday morning their home had taken on 4 feet of water and Taylor made the decision it was time to leave. He secured their 2 dogs in the second floor bathroom and he walked in over 4 feet of water for over half a mile with Wade (in a life jacket of course) on his shoulders (see pics in Gallery) to get to his parents where they were waiting to drive them to safety. On Monday, Taylor went back by boat to retrieve their 2 dogs.  It is a blessing they all got out safe and injury free. As the Harris County Flood Control District has stated based on the area of Houston that they live, their home will have flood water in it for weeks and the demo process won't be able to begin until the flood water has receded.

I am asking all of you; please find it in your hearts to help this family pick up the pieces as they have a long road to recovery and life as they knew it ahead of them. No donation is ever too small and I would be so grateful to see us pull together for the Dillinghams.

Ways to donate:

PAYPAL; Andrealee.cone@gmail.com  OR ladydilly13@gmail.com (please select the non- fee option)
Venmo; @Andreacone OR @elizabethdillingham
Check or gift cards; 2742 Shadowdale Dr. Houston, TX 77043

Gift card ideas; Visa, Home Depot, Amazon, Target, HEB.

Please DO NOT donate through Caring Bridge as I am not sure I am able to recover the donations to pass along to the Dillingham's. I used this site as an organized forum to get their story out.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Andrea
