While at my annual visit to my girly doc, she told me that she felt a lump in my right breast and she would like me to get a mammogram ASAP...and boy am I glad she did! On February 19th I was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a biopsy and some other testing I found out that I have Triple Negative Breast Cancer- a more aggressive and faster-growing type of breast cancer. So... the additional tests began. And from the day of diagnosis to now (less than a month), I have learned that I will be starting a 20-week regimen of chemotherapy on March 18th. We are really hoping that the chemo kills off (or at least significantly shrinks down) those darn cancer cells during this first regimen before surgery, as I am ready to kick this cancer's booty! As of right now I will just be concentrating on getting better and stronger everyday!!! XOXO
