Denny Rogers

Hello my name is Lisa and I am Denny's youngest daughter. My sister,Lara, and I wanted to do this site to keep friends and family updated. On August 15th dad went to the emergency room not feeling well. He hadn't been for a couple months. The doctor ended up doing a ct scan and found multiple tumors. At this point that's all any of us knew. He finally had an egd done with biopsies taken. They found ulcers and the biopsy came back as non hodgkins lymphoma. At this time daddy had an oncologist at Cookeville cancer center for the plan of treatment. So Dr. K developed a plan for him to have 6 rounds of chemo every 21 days. In the mean time his kidneys shut down and had a 4 day hospital stay. His kidneys started working after meds and hydration. Praise God! So now we get a call yesterday from the oncologist saying he has Burkitt Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. This means it's more aggressive and Cookeville Cancer center can not treat it. So today my sister, mom, dad and myself went to Vandy for a bone marrow biopsy and blood work, also, Dr. Reddy does not think it's Burkitts but large b cell non hodgkins. Praise God again! So with all this we go tomorrow morning for a pet scan and to be admitted for chemo. We desire your prayers. This time is a struggle,but, with God all things are possible. I will try my best to update daily.
