Welcome to our Denise’s CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.  Denise, my best friend, our go-to nurse, our mentor, our leader, our mom, our maw maw was diagnosed on Dec 21st with multiple myeloma. After a month of appointments, lab tests, and other diagnostic procedure we have a plan! Anyone that knows Denise knows her passion for nursing, her selfless, kind and caring nature, and her love for God and her family! She is and always has been one of the strongest women I know and as she says this is a wake-up call to balance and re-prioritize her life! Her inner strength and unrelenting fighting spirit will lead the way in her journey along with the love and support of each and everyone of you who means the world to her! The power of prayer is amazing and her mantra is “Cancer cannot touch my soul”! She has been given tremendous care by her “family’” at LCMH, where she has worked for 40 years, and MD Anderson.  On our first trip to MD Anderson, we shared memories, decided on a name for our trips, “One day closer to remission” and prayed the healing rosary. It was amazing! She has a hard time accepting help because she was always the caregiver!! But she’s overwhelmed to say the least with the unconditional love and generosity shown on the go fund me and all the other million ways you have shown your support, way to many to mention! Denise, Mom, and MawMaw you’ll never walk alone! We Love You!
