Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope during this time when it matters most.

For those of you who may not know my story, I was diagnosed with cavernous angioma in my midbrain in March of 2015. Cavernous angioma's are a malformed group of blood vessels that have probably been there since I was born. They are slow growing, non cancerous tumors that can potentially bleed outside their vessels. Mine is in a very challenging area for surgery, so we sought the best possible surgeons. My journey led me to the Barrow Neurosurgery group at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix where I met two wonderful surgeons eager to care for me. My surgery is scheduled for May 27, 2016.

I hope this page finds all the family and friends who have been there to support me, pray for me, and help my family while Joe and I are gone. We don't need a thing here in Phoenix at the moment. Please continue praying for our family and please do not send flowers. I am allergic to them and I am pretty sure sneezing fits would not be good immediately following brain surgery. I hope to see everyone real soon. Until then............. Love,  Dee
