Debbie planned a week of vacation fun for all her chickadees to be together in Virginia Beach July 24-31. She took a terrible accidental fall down the stairs Tuesday morning 7/27 while we were all getting ready to go to the beach for a day in the sun and waves. She went by ambulance to Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital where they have excellent trauma care. We were hopeful as we saw her responding to us purposefully and then whispering. She became unresponsive again, had respiratory complications and was unable to recover like we desperately hoped she would. She died comfortable and at peace with God, and Dad holding her on August 4 about 3:15pm. Her siblings were also at her side. We are heartbroken.
