Dear Family and Friends,
On Thursday January 26th Dawn and I received the news that she has breast cancer, although it has not been conclusively determined as of yet the staff at Novant Cancer Center believe that it is a stage 3 breast cancer. As always the case with cancer it was a shock to Dawn and myself, are initial period of tears has been replaced by hope and faith that the treatment that will be determined as we move through this the process will eventually be successful and cure her of this cancer. We are in the slow process of communicating to family and friends the situation and already have received such strong support from everyone we have spoken to that we are overwhelmed. Our next steps are visiting the oncologist on Tuesday January 31st and the surgeon on Monday February 6th, after that we will know more and proceed with the help of the medical staff at Novant.
