I was enjoying a regular day at the gym on a Saturday morning, June 4th. The next thing I knew, I was getting transported to the hospital by ambulance. Apparently, I had a seizure. On arrival in the ED, a head CT scan was performed. Needless to say, the results were concerning. A follow up MRI confirmed the suspicion of a left sided frontal tumor. I, then, met with a neurosurgeon, and a biopsy was performed on Monday, June 6th. As I await results and a more definitive treatment plan, I am humbled and overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support demonstrated by those in my life. That's not to say I am unappreciative. Quite the contrary, I am truly grateful to all offering to help. Because I am one to stay away from social media, I elected to use this site (generously set up by Laura Scott) to provide updates. To this point, I am including loved ones in this format, not in an attempt to receive charity, but rather in effort to keep everyone up to date with the latest developments. My next step is to meet with the neuro-oncologist, Dr. Skip Grossman, on June 16th. As of now, this appears to be a primary CNS tumor without extension to the rest of my body. Updates will follow. Please know that all support (including food, childcare, emotional support and general good mojo) for my family and me is appreciated tremendously. With love and hope,David
