David Peterson

Welcome to my CaringBridge website. I have made many acquaintances and friends in my life. I have made friends wherever I have gone  in this country. I have also made many friends long distant over the phone in my many positions for ITT/Goulds Pumps.

All along this journey of life it has been  my faith in God, my doctors, nurses surgeons family and friends that has enabled me to maintain this journey. The support has been more than a simple man could ask for.  The journey now continues for me. You may say another chapter in the book of David Peterson.

My support people and I are using CaringBridge website to keep family and friends updated in one place. Please share the link with whomever you think would appreciate the news as it unfolds. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Twenty-five years ago after many years of battling with my weight, I was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy at Geneva General Hospital. My condition has enlarged and weakened the left side of my heart.I have since returned to Geneva for many appointments, I have traveled to the Cleveland Clinic twice, and have had various procedures at Clifton Springs Hospital and three different facilities in Rochester. I've had knee surgeries, a foot fusion, a gastric bypass, excess skin removal, back surgery,  I have Implantation of a pacemaker/defibrillator, and implantation of a clinical study device to monitor my fluid retention. I was admitted to Geneva General three times because of excess fluid. I was admitted to Geneva to start a drug that at the time was just released, Coreg. I was admitted to Rochester General for start a drug named Tikosyn and ICD Implant. Then after all that I had a kidney removed due to cancer,

Most recently, I was admitted to UR Strong because of excess fluid. Admitted to UR Strong for evaluation for Heart Pump or Heart Transplantation. All of this has led to where I am at this point in my life. I was approved for a Heart Pump Implantation on 3/30/17. Baring any unforeseen complications my surgery has been set for Monday 4/03/17 at 7:30.
