David has been living with Non specific Interstitial Pneumonia, a form of pulmonary fibrosis for the past 10 years.  In October of 2017 his pulmonologist   said that his disease had progressed to the point that he needed a lung transplant as there was nothing more that could be done to treat the symptoms.  There is no cure for this disease and the only option is a lung transplant.  In November of 2017 David began the journey to be placed on the lung transplant list.  The Integris Nazih Zuhdi lung transplant program in Oklahoma City is the program that he has been refereed to participate in.  In February 2018 he was approved to be placed on the transplant list.  Once he receives the call it would be difficult to let everyone know, so he encourages you to sign up to receive e-mail notices when new information is posted.
