On July 23, 2017, Dave and two of his good friends flew to Alaska for their annual fishing trip.  While there, Dave came down with a serious intestinal infection which escalated to the point that he was medevacked down to Virginia Mason in Seattle on July 28th. Numerous treatments and procedures were performed in an attempt to treat the infection.  The infection did clear up, however, serious side effects resulted which affected his heart, blood pressure, etc.  He suffered a stroke which added to the severity of his condition.  He is a fighter, that’s for sure.  It has been a very difficult roller coaster ride for Patti and the family. After 4½ weeks in Virginia Mason, he was transferred on  August 29th to a rehab center in Issaquah.  Unfortunately on the second day he suffered what they thought was another stroke and was transported to Overlake Hospital.  He continues to have good and bad days.  He is now back at Issaquah Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 805 Front Street South, Issaquah (425)392.1271. Visitors are welcome.

We are still taking this unfortunate situation one day at a time.  Many of his friends have been most supportive with frequent visits, helping with his beloved dog, Molly, and many other expressions of care and concern.  Dave and Patti would appreciate hearing from their friends and loved ones.  Prayers for his recovery would very much be appreciated.  We will do our best to update this site as information is available.
