Dave Roen

Dave is one of the nicest, honest and real guys I know. He is the father of a 5 year old son and the husband to my best friend of 20+ years. Anna and Dave have been through a lot over the past 16 years but they have always been each others rock. On October 31st life handed them one of they most difficult things it could ever hand out. That evening Dave collapsed in the bathroom and began to have a grand mal seizure that he would not come out of. Anna rushed to his aid and called 911. He was loaded up in the ambulance and rushed to the hospital. From there they put him through a CT Scan where they found a mass on his brain. On November 2nd he under went brain surgery where they removed the mass and discovered that is was in fact a tumor. On November 3rd the preliminary tests showed the tumor is malignant, but likely just in his brain. It was an aggressive, fast growing tumor that may have only started 6 week prior. The official diagnose is that he has a Giluobastoma grade 4 malignant cancer. This form of cancer forms in the brain and stays in the brain. He will need both radiation and chemo. None the less this is going to be a very long and hard road for Dave and his family.
