Daniel Altermatt Dan's Kidney Kare

Dan was diagnosed with Iga Nephropathy in his 20's.  It is a disease that affects the filtration of his kidneys.  His doctors have controlled  his blood pressures with medications over the years to help slow the deterioration of his kidney function.  He was doing well until about three years ago when his function began to decrease.  Last year his doctors told us he was going to need a kidney transplant.  After three days of testing and appointments at Mayo Clinic, it was decided that he was a suitable candidate for transplant.   Our goal is to find him a transplant before he is in need of dialysis.  Welcome to our CaringBridge website.
