Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Danny was in a serious accident on Tuesday April 10, 2018. From what we understand he somehow lost control of the vehicle, hit a tree, flipped several times, and was ejected at some point. He was life flighted from Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula to USA Medical Center in Mobile where he has been under the care of some of the best Drs. in the country. His left femur and knee are an open fracture and caused him to loose a lot of blood. He was given 12 pints in less than the first 12hrs! The trauma team here is unmatched and by day 2 they had his vitals pretty much stable. Dan suffered from a long list of injuries which include several bleeds on his brain. An ICP monitor, which is kind of like a bolt, was inserted in his head to measure cranial pressure. Along with the broken leg, his upper and lower jaw, nose, right shoulder blade,  7 ribs and his hip are also broken. He is in a coma that is not medically induced. Anyone who knows him knows if anyone could come out on the other side, after all this, it's him! We are blessed that he is alive❤ Danny is the strongest guy we and a lot of people have ever met. He's a longtime fireman and lieuntant in Gautier MS, where he has worked most his life. He is the hardest worker you'll ever meet and an all around "handyman" ( I have yet to find anything he can't fix and it's been 26years). He is just an awesome person to know and love. Thank you for taking the time to read and please please keep him in your prayers as we have a long and painful road of healing ahead. God has already given us a miracle by keeping him alive and we know his hands are on him. I will try to post an update every evening to keep everyone updated on his condition!
