Dear friends and family, Welcome and thank you for your support. I have been diagnosed with early-stage esophageal cancer and will have surgery Wednesday May 5 (an unusual celebration of Cinco de Mayo!). I expect to be in the hospital for at least a week, then home to recover for at least 6 weeks. I am fortunate that it was discovered early – I will be fine.
