In September Daniel noticed a bump on his left upper pelvic bone. He went to get it checked out in February and was referred to Iowa City as the doctor that he saw thought that it was malignant. After an X-Ray, MRI, CT Scan, Biopsy and multiple other tests, it was determined that he has a Desmoplastic small round cell tumor. This is a rare cancerous sarcoma. Daniel will be doing Chemotherapy for the next 3 months, starting on March 5th, then he will have surgery, and then 4 more months of chemotherapy. His chemotherapy will consist of Two days in the hospital, 12 days out of the hospital, 5 days in the hospital, 9 days out of the hospital, and then repeat.
I set this up in hopes to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. I will try to provide updates often. Thank you for visiting and for all the prayers.
Miranda and Daniel
