Dale and Sharon are not requesting or in need of donations. The Caring Bridge website donations go directly to Caring Bridge. Do not feel obligated to donate. In late August 2016 during my yearly physical the blood test showed something out of range. This led to a visit with a hematologist who ran a number of labs on my blood and concluded I have multiple myeloma. It is a cancer formed by malignant plasma cells. I started chemo treatment immediately in September 2016 and have continued with this treatment. I feel great and have a strong support network with family and friends. The new phase of treatment, a stem cell transplant, will start in mid March 2017. Sharon and I will live in Houston near MD Anderson from March 12th to May 12th during this treatment program. For me I will be busy with doctors and labs and then the stem cell transplant. Sharon is a great partner during this process and she keeps me organized and moving in a straight line.
