Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

June 21, 2016 – is the day that Craig was diagnosed with splenic marginal zone Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.  Our lives were turned upside down & he had to leave his law enforcement position.  Since then he has fought with chemotherapy, surgeries, and continued maintenance therapies, as we thought he was getting better and being able to move back to somewhat of a normal life.
Then…March 1, 2018, he was diagnosed with a new cancer, Diffuse Large B-Cell Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.  He is having more chemotherapy that keeps him in the hospital for 5 days at a time every 3 weeks.  The doctors are concerned as this is a faster growing cancer than his original diagnosis.  We are almost 2 hours away from his oncologist, so we are on the road a lot.  There are numerous doctor visits, lab draws, sometimes ER visits, I’m still trying to work FT, plus trying to keep things running normally at home for our 12 year old son.
The doctors are hopeful for a new stem cell therapy called Car-T, but we are still waiting for the doctors here to get it all approved & rolling.  This will be a process, and can include up to a 30 day hospital stay.  One concern is how insurance will cover any of this new process.
We are so grateful to each and everyone for prayers and support along this long road.
Thank you all so much,
Craig, Jenna & Brecken Kasse
